Our Academy offers Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Hip-Hop dance for all levels and ages to provide you with the best quality dance instruction. The Pointe Academy is staffed by a multi-disciplined faculty who approach dance in a positive manner. We invite you to join our Academy for recreational, or for serious study.

Philosophy
The philosophy of the Pointe Academy of Dance is to provide excellent professional training to serious and recreational dancers alike. The faculty creates a warm, friendly atmosphere while guiding their student through the rigors of training. In this professional environment, students and faculty are treated with dignity and respect. At the Point Academy of Dance, etiquette and discipline are maintained in a positive atmosphere.

It is the Pointe Academy’s belief that dance training is a valuable discipline, demanding the best of each individual, carrying over into every facet of life: self-esteem, self-control, self-worth, and academic success.

Performance
In addition to enhancing students' lives, The Pointe Academy of Dance, Inc. offers opportunities from main stage concerts to informal community events for those upper level students who are willing to commit to a separate rehearsal schedule.

Our Pointe Repertory Dancers have performed in a number of civic and charitable venues in the Metro Detroit Area, including: Performing for the Governor of Michigan at Orchestra Hall with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, "Tiny Tots and Young People" series at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, Walt Disney World, The Somerset Collection, The Rochester Christmas Parade, the Troy School District, Joe Louis Arena, and a number of Senior Citizen Community Centers.

Many of our dancers have been recognized by internationally acclaimed choreographers and directors, winning scholarships to universities, summer festivals, and dance conventions. All dancers from the Ballet I level and up can look forward to performing in the Annual Student Concerts at a State-of-the-Art auditorium. image image
